Our twinning association has as its aim the opening up of opportunities for links with our two twin towns, one in France and one in Germany. Actual twinning visits are about person to person exchanges and shared experiences but there is much more to a town twinning. It is also about the larger scale exchange of ideas and culture: visits by musicians, dancers, artists, sports club members etcetera; joint cultural projects; discussions and an exchange of ideas at council level about global issues, some of which lead to actions.
